the worst thing happened today!!! my baby fell from my hand for the first time in 3 months, bounced twice or thrice to height of about a 1 foot and a half...it fell from a 6 foot height!!!... the memory card flew out, the stylus flew out... and the infra red side is full screwed up... the whole blue part is partly out... with the infrared... and plus all this, the screen aint working at ALL!!! only the jog dial is, and the power button!!!!

another one bites the dust... sorry to hear that.

I was in my local SE service centre on Saturday morning getting R1L in my T610 and R8A in my T68i and so I was there for about 40 minutes. During that time the place took 2 calls for cracked screens on P800! I couldn't believe it! They said they get about 3 or 4 a week and this is just a small shop/service centre.

I hope you had insurance!

sorry to hear about your loss. have only had mine over a month now with out droping it. i remember handing a mate his nokia 5100 ages ago, i thought he had a hold of the other end of the phone and i let go only to see it falling 4 feet to the ground. the top half of the screen was pure black while the other half was ok. he was ok about the whole inscident. well it was a nokia so i didnt care i have droped my t39 at least 2 or 3 times a week probably cos its that small every time i bend down to pick something up it goes flying out of my shirt pocket. its fine appart from a very quite microphone.

Mighty 300 survives the 6 ft drop test with ease. I imagine T610 can survive this too! Poor P800 owners pay a high price 4a very smart phone!
