mmc reader not detected |

Hello! I'm a Windows XP user and after many fustrating days of trying to install the stupid thing, it finally works (installing it with the drivers from internet on device manager). However, the problem is that whenever I turn off the computer and open it the next day, the removable driver is no longer detected. It doesn't show up in My Computer, and the shortcut I made for the desktop shows up as an error. I know it will work again if I uninstall and reinstall again in device manager but it's such a hassle, plus what if that doesn't work anymore? Is there some kind of trick that would make it stay as removeable driver permanently (or as long as I don't remove it)? Or do I still have to go through this process everyday? Any XP users that go through this?
Thanks in advance
(p.s. I don't know much about computers so please "dumb it down" for me!) |

I presume you are talking about the MMC reader for the HPM-10 MP3 player? If you're using the one that came with the player it's not "removable" in that it is not hot-swappable ie if you disconnect it you have to reboot after you next connect it. It has a connection on it that allows you to plug your printer into the same connection so I'm not sure why you would want to disconnect it anyway. |

my advice... ditch the bloody thing and buy a USB cardreader...
much easier to work with |
