Hi guys
I have done a search on this one and have found nothing!
When I connect to my PC using a Belkin Bluetooth dongle, I connect with an error message as stated elsewhere in this froum, but if I then use for eg. want to install software from PC to P800 etc, it times out or gives a "P800 disconnected" error before the operation is completed. This is utterly frustrating as my T68i and Palm Tungsten works like a dream!

Please help, as I have tried everything so far including install and reinstall...
Regards

Tell Sony Ericsson about it. They won't fix it but at least buyers of the P810 might have better luck with bluetooth connectivity.
The P800's BT is utterly shameful.

@lupo

Thank god someone is having the same problems as me!! Let me guess, you have no problems establishing the serial connection (except for the initial disconnect warning) and it stays up pretty much indefinitely if you leave it alone? But as soon as you try to transfer data, sync, Opera, whatever it dies half way through?

If this sounds familiar, it sounds like you're having the exact same problem as me. I think it is to do with the PC Suite software as from memory I can get Bemused to work for quite a while without failing. If anyone has any ideas, please let us know...

Contacted SE today... they where very friendly here in South Africa. Very helpfull and sincere... but I was thinking...

SE confirms they know about the problem with BT not being able to connect sucessesfully with not SE BT devices.
1. This product has been launched many months ago, and yet they have no answer to this problem yet. (AND everybody has the problem.)
2. If I put my product on the marked and it only works 1/2 way, I'll be sued to hell....

How come they are getting away with murder???
How come I am such a loyal SE customer and so forgiving...

It show that world is just a little bit screwed up I guess..

I set my computer to connect to the phone via port 7, but when it attempts to (P800 auto accepts the attempt) it says the device closed the connection. About 5 secs later, the phone is connected on port 7 and works faster than my sync station! Dodgy huh?
