Contary to the posts on here relating to the P800's camera and sunlight, where users are saying how much better the camera is outside with nice bright sunshine, I have a really annoying problem with mine.

When indoors or in low light conditions, such as in shadow under a tree, pictures are fine; brightness, contrast, clarity - all perfectly acceptible for a camera like this. But as soon as I point it into a sun-lit area, it just goes white. It's as if there is too much light and the camera can't cope. I cannot take pictures outside because of this, which is extremely frustraiting.

Is this a hardware fault or what? I am running the R1D firmware which is as my phone came back in March.

Any help would be appreciated! A sample picture can be provided.

Also... yes, I have tried adjusting the preferences in the CommuniCam app for contrast/brightness/lighting/etc.

Flicker free - I'm sure I tried that, but just been outside and compared with and without, and it actually workd properly with it turned off!

A thousand thank you's, I only wish I had it solved before I went to Goodwood today

As for firmware... would that be covered by Orange Care? Cos if it is I shud be able to waggle a spare phone for the duration (I don't live in London btw).

Cheers guys
