I think that the system that esato has chosen for buying polyphonic ringtones is quite bad for us who don't live in the uk.
I don't even know how to buy them!
could the esato team consider changing system to something better or explain more accurate how to buy polyphonic ringtones for users with no experience with bango.net?
is creditcard necessary?

if you don't live in the UK you can either pay with credit card or by a phone call (ask for payer's permission before making the call)... check http://corp.bango.net/support/topup.asp for more info

I agree that the charging system not is optimal for users outside UK. But it's a cost issue for us to use other systems. To give you an example: To set up a reverse SMS number with the two largest operators in Norway will cost us around ¬30000! At the moment, Bango is the only option we have for charging. To use Bango, you must open an accout. Ether by sending an SMS (Uk users), or paying by credit card. With the Bango opened accout you can pay for Esato content (ringtones). But in a couple of weeks time German, Norwegian and Austrian users can pay with reverse SMS. I.e be charged on the phone bill.

okay, but I live in Sweden, couldn't you fix a sms service for us too?
I really like the ringtones, as I haven't been able to find some of them on different sites.

@Cytech
You are correct. A third way to fill up a Bango account is by dialing a telephone number.

@Naar
Bango has a deal with all the major UK operators. I believe it is as safe as any other online credit card shops.
