I am trying to figure out the best way to manage my Phonebook and calendar via infared on my laptop.

1. Is Outlook the only way?

2. What software do I have to have to make this work?

3. Can I get the software for free?

Much thanks!

@mr toyz,

1. Outlook is one of the many ways. You can also use other PIM but you have to purchase the full version of XTND Connect PC. Another way is to use SyncML. Check out the posts about SyncML.
2 & 3. Check the FAQ for the software list. Yes, they are free if you are using Outlook. It contains XTND Connect for Ericsson.

OK I cant get the damn thing to connect. I've got the phone enabled...

I cant seem to find anything on my computer about an IR port, I have one. Nothing under Control Panel...

Hmmm

Any advise? Running Win 2000 Pro.

Your laptop dont finds your phone?
Check in your BIOS if Ir is enabled.
And on my laptop in Control Panel I got an icon saying " wireless connection" - there you can adjust some settings such as speed and more.

You can enter your bios settings by pressing the delete key at the start of your PC's boot-up (a few seconds from when you switch it on)
