Hi guys

Is it possible to set delivery reports for SMS by default or do you have to do it for each and every SMS before sending it? I have looked all over and cannot find documentation. I also have the latest firmware installed.
Thanks if you can assist.
Regards
Mike

R2F has these upgrades.
it also comes with wide screen pictures and the image fix already installed.
it will also allow multiple selection of files for copying/deleting etc.

Delivery reports is there since R2D but 4 versions before that u could use all sorts of different network codes 2 get a report if u search on the forum u might find the codes u need 4 ur network the only shame in that case is that u will lose 3 characters

Hi,

any kinda phone capable of sending SMS can receive "SMS delivery receipts".

Your SMS has to start with
*N#
and then the text - this means from the 160 chars max you lose 3 chars = 157 total for the msg. Example: You wanna send "Hello World!" so your SMS looks like
*N#Hello World!

*N# is an internationally standardized sequence. It might not work with any operator but I successfully had it returning receipts from New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia and a couple of other countries to Europe...

*N# is essential when it comes to tracking of lost SMS - the return receipt also includes the unique serial number of your SMS - so the operator can trace eventual losses down in their network nodes.

Have fun!

If you don't know which chraracters to use to get delivery reports, just contact your operator. They'll tell ya (if they support it...). [addsig]
