I need advice from you all.

P800 have been released for almost 8 months now. And P810 is likely to be released soon in this fall. Do you all think that is it too late to buy new P800 now? Should I wait.....? want do you all think?

Wait for 810. Though it could be a long wait (as with 800). For sure there will be better features. See the threads

If you are going to buy a phone outright, then why not consider a secondhand p800, that way you will have a great phone for 6 to 8 months before its replacement is available at a reasonable price.

If your getting a contract with a subsidised phone then a p800 is also not going to be a huge outlay for what your getting.

I'd wait for the P810. Otherwise I'll regret it when the P810 comes out!

Second hand is a good idea. However, I have checked the second hand P800s recently, the difference is only between USD100-200 only. For those which I can save 200, it is about 4-5 months old, with scratches. Therefore, I am thinking of paying for a new one.

I would say that it depends on if you can afford it or not. If you can afford to get a P800 now and then sell it in 6 months or a year to get a P810 and make a loss then go for it. If you can't, then you might be better off just waiting for the P810 (it might be a long wait). But you never know, if you buy a P800 now you might be so happy with it that you might not even want a P810 when they eventually come out. It's up to you. I've had my P800 for quite a few months now (4 maybe) and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It's just plain awesome in my opinion. I'm not sure if I will move up to the P810 as I think that a 3G SE PDA type phone shouldnt be too far behind. [addsig]

I would say P810, but you will be waiting for a long, long time... And anyway, as soon as P810 comes out (which looks like it is pretty much the smae thing as a P800 with few software upgrades and almost no hardware upgrades), they will probably come out with P820 in another 2 weeks anyway

I know that there is a thread about the P810. However, no one have information about when is the possible launch date.

Some said it will be around this coming Fall. Which means it will be just few 1-2 months later. But, how true it is?

I noticed also, the screen for P810 is smaller.

if i was looking for a new phone i'd wait for the p810 BUT knowing se's track record and the fact that there hasn't been ANY official confirmation to my knowledge i think you'd be in for a long wait.

if the launch is anything like the p800 it'll be at least 6 months late which means that you'll be waiting 9 months to a year for one ...

if you can get a p800 for a decent price i'd go for that ...

The imaginary P810! Forget about that rubbish...I recently got my P800 and I couldn't be more happy with it. In any case if you want the "P810" When it is released (when hell freezes over) even after 6-12 months you could sell your P800 on ebay for £250+

Id say- take a P800. seems like the Z1010 (3G) will be released even before the P810... and I want to remind you that many people have been waiting for the Z7 that was CANCELLED.... anyway I havent seen any official information about the P810 except for some amateur photos, (at least the Z7 was at expansys.com as comming soon) but I dont see the P810 there. so I guess it will take at least 8-9 monthes before pre-sale and thats only if we assume they'll even sell it.

i think you people are forgetting that the p800 was a completly new phone in every sense, which is why i took so long to hit the shelves if the "p810" is more or less just an upgraded of the p800 it could be out very soon after its anounced by se

if se wants to catch up in the market they have to release the p810 in the 4Q [because of the sx1 and 6600] -> in an interview with a swedish newspaper the president of ericsson said that it will come in november

What is the earliest possible date that the P810 (if it exists) will be released? November? Thats still 4 months away. I've have my P800 for about 4 months and I would say that even if the P810 was released today and I sold my P800 to get one, I would be happy with the 4 months I had with my P800. What can I say? It's a beast. Go get one! [addsig]
