well... wap is wireless access protocol. in simple terms its a cut down internet designed for thin client access on devices likes mobile phones. It does away with alot of overheads involved in creating intricate web pages.
Normally sites that offer ring tones for download allow you to highlight the ringtone you want and press the yes key (or joystick on T68i/T610 etc).
Yes you can transfer using a cable but I suggest rather than me going deep into this you explore the forum with searches etc as this has been covered many times, and at least 4 or 5 times in the last week that I can recall.
