I start to snap shot picture, download some nice background onto my T610 and of course there's ringtone and games I keep inside.
Now with around 50-60 picture stored....the memory left is 240kb.
Ya there's this memory leakage (or whatever esatoian call it) which hopefully can be improve thru firmware upgrade.
BUT to me the ultimate solution should be a memory stick duo add on!!! For T61 and T62...TDMA and CDMA phone for US. They come with a radio kit tht will replace the battery cover of the phone. I can't remember the model number but if SonyERicsson can make a radio kit in this way....why can they make a memory kit for T610 since the battery cover we are having is having such a huge space tht they need to put a poron pack to fill up the gap between the battery and the battery cover.
Just make a battery cover tht is 1mm thicker to allow all the mechanism and electronics in...then design a flexible connector that will loop back to the phone (better yet bluetooth).....which still allow extra accesories to plug in and ability to maintain charging ability.
Someone have mentioned this in Esato long time ago but I do really like to see it come to the market fast!!!!. |

im not sure about this but the memory leakage that you are talking about is cos the phone stores 2 versions of the pic 1 is the compressed version and the other is a "thumbnail" as such it is basicly a cached version of the pic for fast access liek and uncompressed version. |

Memory leak is not because of thumbnail - thumbnail sometimes would have to take few times more space than original photo itself. It would be thumbnail if u could see entire shrank image, not just a part of originall sized one. Problem is caused by encoding the phone uses to store the pic (probably base64 like t68i) - photo encoded this way takes a lot more space |

i don't care about the leakage...as long as they do have plan to get a special battery cover tht can plug in a memory stick duo (or even memory stick pro!!!) then I will be very happy  |
