I am connecting to the Internet using a router a DRS-11 (Original Cable) and a T39.
It works well except for the fact that the RS232 DCD signal from the DRS-11 cable is always held high.
Ideally it should drop when I hang up the phone as this would tell the router that the call has ended.
Is seems that in a DRS-11 cable the DCD signal is hardwired to either be always high or maybe it is tied to another control line. i.e RTS or CTS.
Questions…
Does a t39 or any model of Ericsson phone supply this signal directly from the phone as a control line ??
If you read the AT command spec then it is mentioned that DCD operates in different modes and therefore I would think that it is supplied.
Maybe it is not delivered via the DRS-11 cable, does anyone know which pin is it is on the Ericsson connector, I may just take my soldering and pliers to the problem.
Anything you know or can suggest would be appreciated.
