what's the difference anyway, I seem to have forgotten, besides themes, I know that's one of the differences.

The new features of UIQ 2.1 includes:
- a well integrated phone application as part of the product offering
- the latest version of Java: MIDP 2.0, which offers richer graphical features and improved gaming and sound features
- themes, which consists of a combination of background wallpapers, color schemes and sounds. This can be used for branding as well as personalization of the phone be the end-user.
*it was just a rumor that it would be available for the P800, tryna search. alot of threads about ths*

I'm sure several P800 owners will love to pay for this. The problem is SE doesn't have way to upgrade all the P800's out there without incurring considerable cost, i.e. SE service centers to do it. SE also may not care because they sell the hardware, not the software. I'm hoping UIQ is working on an online self-upgrade and charge for it. This is where Microsoft is good at. |

UIQ 2.0 and 2.1 would be in the Microsoft world like Windows 98 to Windows 98SE. You would have to pay for it, since it's not just an upgrade.
Anyway, you can't and from what I know (which sometimes isn't much) you will never be able to upgrade it to UIQ 2.1
