P800 Sync Craddle Problems |

Hi l did a search but it was of no help.
So please help me my p800 craddle is plugged in to a USB port but when i click on the arrow in the system tray to select which port the phones in. Non of the USB ports are visable it just has IRDA port. This is strange as i dont even have a IR port on my pc.
Someone help me please. |

This may be a long shot, but go to the P800 Control Panel > Conections > Cable and see if it's Modem or Conect to Pc that's marked on the first option.
I don't use english on mine so i don't know if the optios are exactly that.

No its on connect. I messed about with the cable settings could this be a problem? Either way this shouldnt prevent the usb ports from showing up in the phone locater....Any ideas?

Make it sure your OS is not Win98 or lower, for you will not be able to sync at all. |

I think that for Win98 it's possible if you install some patches or whatever it is for Win98, they are on SE site in the page of the PCSuite 1.5.1 (if i'm not mistaken...)
Also try with this version of PCSuite.
Last, i think you could realy mess up the settings. Try with these:

The USB cradle connection if installed properly is at least 400000 bps - forget the actual figure but it doesn't run at true USB speed. If it's Win98 then I have no solution to offer; if not, then:
1. Completely uninstall PC Suite.
2. Reboot.
3. Reinstall PC Suite WITHOUT the cradle connected.
4. Reboot
5. Insert USB from cradle with the phone docked and switched on.
Worked for me... Good luck! |
