Hey,

I wonder if anyone ever wanted to create his own theme in t68. It's easy, you send a theme to your email, check it with a hex editor, and will find an XML inside where the colours can be altered, and also the binary gif images are included there. I'll make my own brownish theme today, but want to be able to download lots of themes as I can do with background images.

steps:
-set up e-mail in the phone so that you can send emails. You need a mail account from your operator, or a free email service that lets you send via smtp from everywhere. Rare, hotpop works fine for me.
-go to themes, highlight one, option button, send, via email
-check the .thm file you receive to your mailbox
-if you take a closer look with a hex editor, you'll find something in the middle like this (note that it is xml, not html):

< ?xml version="1.0"? >

< Ericsson_theme >

< /Ericsson_theme>

-edit the color values
-send back to the phone. now this can be tricky, you can't send back in email, 'cause you can't access the attached .thm. There are sendfile utilities out there for t68, or it can be sent via MMS.

What is your T68 SW version??? My version is R2B013 in mine. I cannot able to send, receive themes. I think the only one T68 able to send and receive themes at this time: T68i.

R1A115, I dunno if there are separate product lines, but this is MMS enabled. Maybe the feature of sending everything comes with the MMS versions.

I work for ericsson, currently on an MMS project. This is probably a non-public test version. I just thought that these functions exist in the public versions as well. Actually I've never seen them.

Ericsson. We are integrating the Multimedia Message Center -MMC- into the operator's network. They'll be the world's first MMS service provider.

I finally created a theme. Nothing special, brownish colors, custom background, at least it works. If anyone can upload it somewhere and distribute the link, I can send it in email.
I wonder if it can be loaded to older sw phones. I've simply sent it back to the phone using infrared connection.

You mean commercial service? We've sent our first MMS message last October. The "world's first" thing I mentioned is regarding that it will be commercially available for subscribers next month.

You don't win the second prize, but loose the first.

I don't know if we're talking past eachother here, but MMS in Norway is open and everybody with a MMS capable phone ( that will be the T68i) can use the service right now. It's even free of charge until May 1.
( then they will start charging NOK 10, about 1,25 euros for each message. Bloody expensive

ROADRUNNER > I have the T68i with the mms-software.

I can e.g. go to SE website and create a new theme, and send it via wap to the phone.
Its very easy to create themes in there.
I havent tried to sent one of my own themes to my phone yet, but did try with one of the standard-themes on the SE-site,..that works fine

I dont think it will work on non-mms-software phones.

The downloadable themes only work with the new software (mms-software).
