Using P800 On Pay As You Go |

My existing O2 contract runs out next month and I'm going onto PAYG. I was just wondering if anyone has used their P800 on O2 PAYG and how it shows your balance after a call or txt, as I know that on the T68 it made the standard txt tone which was annoyin!

yeah i was wondering that, since i'm thinkin of gettin my P800 unlocked from Orange so i can use my O2 payg sim to get the free gprs and sms

I use mine on O2 pay and Go, the phone pops up a little message window after a call, its not intrusive at all no beeps or anything, first time I have used pay and go it seems all good to me being a light phone user, using the ocassionally O2 bolt on when I need it.

I bought a sim free P800 a couple of months ago and put my O2 Pay as you go sim card in and get free GPRS. |

Yep I use PAYG - free gprs, messages and wap - also in August they are offering free MMS messages as well.
I have spent a long time setting mine to work properly with O2 and would be only too happy to help set anyone up on it - it's not as straight forward as O2 would make you beleive - the different accounts for mms and web for one!

I thought that on pay as you go on o2 the free gprs was for wap only or are you using the wap apn?

I am reliably informed that the gprs is just about to go full gprs very soon.
I can get email and html pages down, so can't be far off
this is from O2 themselves - apparently they don't mind payg getting it.

if you aint got much credit it gives you the low credit tx message.i got my p800 sim free get free gprs on orane untill august,got free gprs on 02.i buy 02 sim 4 10quid use the 1000free mins&5quid credit.i never pay for wap at all.one of the networks on payg always has some deal going on.

Free wap is limited to reasonable usage, and gprs was never actually supposed to be used for surfing via payg.
