having recently bought a t610 for my work phone i can say to you it is definately a better PHONE than the p800, due its size and its incredible array of customisation in such a small package. It feels more solid, it's less fiddly, it's much better for texting.etc.
Also, even the games arent as stunning as the p800s visually they are such much easier to play, just because of the keypad. Tetris and mini golf in my humble opinion are far more fun than anything I have on my P800 and I have pretty much most of the decent games, I just hated the controls! BUT you know this better than any one us, if you use the P800's pda stuff at all you would be silly to swap. Just ask yourself "do i need any of what the p800 does and would i miss it?" . My P800 is my lifeline, if I didn't have it and just had my T610 I would without a doubt have to buy a Palm to compliment it as the T610 is at the end of the day.....just a phone.
The T610 is fantastic, but the P800 is sooooo much more...... |

thanks guys.. ahh.. still can think of what to do. i must decide then by tomorrow. it it so obvious that p800 has much more features than t610 but there's 20% BAD and 80% which is good about my p800. but that 20% made me feel that i need to swap it with t610. ahhh if i only have the money i would buy t610 without swapping or trading my p800!! FOr you guys, what are the things you will miss with your p800? and what is good about the t610? ty |

its silly but i really like it, when someone texts you their piccie comes up if they have a picture attached to their number in the phone book. when they call same as p800, their piccie comes up too. I just like it as a phone, my p800 does so much more as u know, but the t610 is easily the best phone on the market. What is the 20% bad? |

the 20% bad .. the 10sec something.. i really hate that that's why i'd rather use my old N3310 because of that... especially when i should reply immediately ahhhh at the middle of my txting there comes that 10sec thing... maybe that's one thing
second- quality of the pic.. i think that would be all.. i thought before it is much clearer than the 76 =[ ty

what firmware do u have? until i upgraded to r2d i often had the 10 sec thing whilst writing a text, drove me mad. But don't get it anymore. The camera on the t610 is v cute, but the pictures are smaller than the p800. although the new flash attachment is coming out for the t610 which should make taking pictures indoors and at nightime possible. It is currently not compatible with the p800 though I am SURE they will fix that with ANOTHER firmware update.....
I love the dj composer on the t610, silly i know, but good fun and it sounds great. You cant have .wavs on the p610, so no proper sounds for rings, though the poly rings are lovely, better than the p800 (that is until you get the midi enhancement file for the p800 that makes the p800 sound so much better with midis). It only has 2mb of memory so if u take many pictures you are going to run into real problems with space. |

i am fortunate to have both phones. Dont't ask me to choose between them because i couldnt. The firmware upgrade is free from any se service point. On the main organiser screen click on view, then system information. there u will see your firmware version. r1b and r1d had real problems with the 10 sec crash especially whilst texting with the flip on. |
