Have you configure your smtp ? Go to control panel, connection, messaging accounts, outbox, define your smtp. Mark on use smptp authentication, use your pop3 login name and password. Hope this can help you...

That is correct, you need to set the SMTP server to use the one provided by the GPRS provider.

Yupe, best solution, call your GPRS provider. Here also support with SMTP server.

I use dial-up email, can probably collect email over GPRS as well but i prefer just paying for the call cost.
I use a BTopenworld account, its a very reliable service. Sending and receiving is always successful and their servers are very quick.
I can post email settings if you want this..... you would need to set up a free BTopenworld email account first though and you dial up an 0845 number (normal costs)

Hi.I am from india too. here's what you need to do to get email out on our pop ac.

do a send recieve just before you actually do a new email send. most isp in india open a 5 to 10 min window from a log on that has just recvd email. this includes satyam, now and vsnl.

a free pop smtp server ac can be had from www.hotpop.com or www.softhome.net.

Both the above solutions work well.

have fun

it doesnt matter wether you use gprs or dail up you still need to have the out going server as your mobile phone providers number
in the case of orange uk it is 193.35.131.155
