Hi all,
Just a few questions. I'm looking at battery standby time. up till now, my record is ~3days (24hrs on) with ~40min of talktime+IR(sms).
This was with my Pref Service set to GPRS and GSM.
After reading a few posts in mobile88.com, I changed my pref service from gprs and GSM to only GSM. Now testing to see if Batt Standby time improves.
GPRS service is not officially launched by my provider (maxis) coming in June/July but my guess is that the signal is there (but I can't log on) It says on the status screen : GPRS : Not Allowed/Not Registered. My guess is that when I set it as GSM and GPRS, t68 looks for the signal and tries to log on?? and thus brings down the batt standby time?
Am I right to say that?
Any inputs?
Cheers. |

I think choosing GPRS and GSM on or off,
doesn't really drain your battery life.
it only searches for connection when you try to connect. |
