Hello!
Just a few questions:
(sorry for being dumb)
If i get the T68 phone on Pay As You Go, I won't have GPRS. And HSCSD. And MMS right?
If I dont have these, what feautures will I loose?
If I don't have wap on my phone, I won't be able to get new background images will i? Could i buy a data cable that uploads pictures to my phone instead of using wap?
If so how much do the cables cost?
Thanks for your help!

its just the main ones like GPRS and MMS that wont be available on PAYG for some time. Seeing as MMS is GPRS dependant, youll have to wait for the networks to let PAYG users have GPRS, unfortunatly it will be a long wait... |

sorry for sounding dumb again, but what are GPRS and MMS, and what do they do?
Thanks

I got my T68 this afternoon, and without GPRS you won't be able to download the logos. I left it for 10 mins downloading, and it still didn't come down. GPRS is basically a way of transferring data to your phone quickly.
MMS is a way of sending sound and pictures by message - like a text message, but with multimedia stuff - hence Multimedia Messaging Service.
As I said in the other post, you'll end up regretting being on PAYG when you realise that you're paying a load more for all your calls and text, on top of paying a massive load for the phone in the first place! |

hmm...right. Thanks
So without this, does it mean i won't be able to get new logos even from a data cable?
Thanks

you can get logos over wap, without GPRS. I have done it, trust me!
Certain networks, such as orange dont allow the transfering of large files (over 1.5k) over normal wap, so they wont download.
Get your self over to the sonyericsson.com wap configorator, and download the sony ericsson wap settings! |

Thanks Mixin. As I said, I only got it this afternoon, and it is indeed on Orange. In that case, you can receive background piccies over WAP - but it is very, very slow. |

i think just using the standard virgin wap settings. If they are not already in the phone when you get it... you can get them on the sonyericsson site as i mentioned before... |
