I have SET610, Trying to set up email on it. Here are the details

SIM: Mobilink
Data Connectivity: Mobilink GSM data number
ISP(s): Mobilink Online, World Online, Cyber Net, Orbit
Error: Server not found

Has any one been able to set up the email successfully in the phone in PAkistan. If yes then please let me know.

I have read the discussions regarding this error, I would appreciate if anyone can tell me in techinical terms what is required from the ISP, so that I can raise the query from them.

Not enough information.

You need to choose which ISPs email account you want to use (can use up to 3 but its not recommended) and then post the pop server addresses.

once you have the URLs convert them to IP addresses and try again.
remember that you will probably have to use the SMTP server of your service provider rather than the ISPs smtp server.

open dos or type cmd in the 'run' command of the start menu.

type ping server address
and copy down the resolved IP address.

i.e.

Code:

C:\Documents and Settings\newmanph\Desktop>ping mail.btinternet.com

Pinging mail.btinternet.com [194.73.73.90] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
