Hi,

Has anyone tried the above? Does it work well? Also, does it still have the terrible echo that the T68i (the later software revisions) had when you used it?

Cheers,

Yeah, I'm using a T610 with a Nokia BT carkit. It pairs fine and works perfectly for me in the car, but callers get echo as the sound from the speaker feeds back into the microphone. It's a usable solution if, like me, you've already got a Nokia kit installed.

Hi, thanks for the reply. How bad is the echo? Is it bearable if the volume on the car kit is turned right down?

It's OK. It's exactly as you would imagine on a handsfree without echo cancellation. The person you're talking to says something, then a split second later they hear it come through on the speaker. It's a bit offputting but it's usable. From your perspective there's no echo at all, it's a pretty good quality connection.

It obviously gets better as you turn the speaker down, but then you can't hear it very well if you're moving!

If you don't already have one installed, I would say you're probably better off looking elsewhere though.
