Just downloaded Space Quest 0: Replicated (http://wiw.org/~jess/roger.html) and Sarien (http://my-symbian.com/uiq/applications/applications.php?fldAuto=52&faq=7) the interpreter for the old Sierra Online games.

These games are more than a little dated by modern standards, but if like me, you spent your childhood trying to solve the latest Space Quest adventure or tried doing perverted things with Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards then you will love this (well for a few minutes, anyway).

Download these now, so that next time you are stuck in traffic, you can save the universe, rather than just get uptight!

Instructions: Download and install sarien using deskstation/ir/bluetooth or telepathy. Download SQ0 and unzip files, transfer all files to p800 (stick in documents/unfiled in either phone of memory stick). No need to transfer the exe file ("Space Quest - Replicated.exe") of the dll file ("SDL.dll"), they are only required to run SQ0 on your PC. Start up sarien from the applications menu, and select the Folder where you transferred the SQ0 files (any file Name in that directory will do), hit OK. On mine, that is "C:/document/document/unfiled".

There does not seem to be any doco on using sarien on the p800. It seems you can point where to walk, enter commands in text, and select menu items from the game console.

Is it my imagination, or does this puppy run faster on my p800 than it used to run on my old PC-AT from floppy?

Enjoy!

Well, of course it's running faster! The P800 has a 156Mhz CPU! That's already Pentium class... the PC-AT had a what? 33Mhz CPU?

I think the P800 is more or less equal to an old Pentium 150 with 8MB RAM and a whatever the size of your Duo is HDD

Well, when I played Sierra games on my AT 286, it had an amazing 12.5Mhz speed.
Maybe that's why the game will run faster in my p800.
