Why can't I send EMS messages to a Nokia phone? It's possible the opposite way?
Cheers,

Nokia do not support the ems standard they use smart messaging. You can view but not use nokia pictures and ring tones on ericssons except t66 t600 and t100 on witch you can use them as wallpapers and ring tones. If you send them the other way you get 3 messages with the coding

ems is like a primitive picture message.
you can send black and white pics in a normal sms, as well as simple melodies.
kinda like an mms, but for phones without colour screens

Complain to the manufacturers and get them to introduce proper support for EMS. Especially Nokia |

Samsung N500 (i sent pictures to it) doesn't support ems. Pictures can be sent to it only from other Samsung phones. |

EMS = Enhanced Messaging Service. If you've got a phone that doesn't support this, you've got to buy a new one. That sucks, I know, but hey, Nokia does too, doesn't it? ;-)
