putting 141 before the dialed number will hide your number (UK)

Yea i know all this and thanx for the suggestions, but is there no menu option for me to do this? as its a bit of a pain if i have to put this in b4 every phonecall..
i use the hands free dialing thing quite a bit.. on my N7650 and N3650 i can just select 'withhold id' and its done..
i cant believe its not available for the p800..
as i said b4, it might sound stupid to some people but HELLO surely SE should of made an option for this...
im slowly losing faith in SE (basic functions)
the p800 is my first SE phone having used Nokia's for a long time..
someone pinch me.. ive had this since my first "Brick" phone..

Well its not on there, BUT heres some ideas,
1, You cant sometimes get your network to permanently withhold it for you (you still have the option to put a code in to send your number on a particular call).
2, put the 141 infront of ALL your phone enries, then if you voice dial it still works, but you would have to check if it affected things when you send a sms to a phonebook entry.

I dont know the code for where u are. I myself have stopped withholding my number as more & more people wont answer a call from a withheld number. i think it should be on there myself but funny thing was, when i had a t68 if i put the o2 sim in it, the permenant withhold option was there, but with an Orange sim it was gone,so i think the network can apply it if need be.

Here in India #31# doesnt work .. you have to call the c.care if u want to avail this CLIR facility you will be charged Rs.200 p.m. for that and ur number will be blocked for the whole month .
so its very imp that ur network should support CLIR .

Hey you guys! None of you has ever searched deeply our lovely phone or is it my fantasy? If you go at the phone menu and then to the dialer by chosing the icon low right (when open flip mode), you can type the number you want (or copy paste it from your contacts menu as i use to do) and then you up left at the menu bar and chose hide my number. It works in every country and in every network that uses witheld number. Plus you can do it with flip closed mode doing the following. Type in the number you want and then press the menu button on your keypad. Magicaly between the 5th and 3rd option a new option appears saying hide my number! See, it is not so difficult to search your phone, i promise it wont take more than two days.

bikini... i think u r off course. what people want is a feature that enables it or disable it for ever if wanted. the option you are talking about, cannot work with the names in ur contact list. we already know that if u type in the number u can hide it. but this is not what we want

Sorry then and sorry for my pretty ironic style. I have to say from my experience in SE phones(t28, t39, t65, r600, t68 and p800) that the hide number feature has always worked like that so it is not possible to change anywayz if this is what you want

Another "missing" feature is the ability to do last number redial with a voice command. I never used the T68i but believe it was there. |
