Every phone is unique, it all depends on the mix of programs, firmware, what's running, etc. I personally use Tracker 2 a lot and have never had a problem. BUT, the other day after I formatted my internal disk and installed Tracker before anything else, it wouldn't run at all and I got like three different error messages in a row. So I formatted the disk again and tried it...same thing, so formatted again...and again. Finally, just after formatting I ran the calender first and then installed Tracker...everything worked. Tried the same method again and it worked again.
My point is, each phone's configuration can affect its performance. You might have to play around and see what installation methods and combination of programs will give you an crash-free phone. I'm careful, so in the past 4 months of owning this phone, I've only had the TOD like twice.
BTW, people say Tracker drains their battery but I see no difference when the program is running or not.

After upgrading my firmware to R2D I never experienced the TOD until after I installed version 2 of Tracker (I was using version one already before). After installing Tracker 2, my phone would crash everytime I type/write a message too quickly (dunno why it doesn't crash if I do it very very slowly).

Anyways, I was about to uninstall Tracker 2 already and reinstall Tracker one. But after deleting all my old SMS (300+ in total), I didn't get the TOD anymore (it's been over 2 weeks now I think). So I'm keeping Tracker 2.

Tracker admits battery issues with some P800 phones not all and are currently investigating the matter. I emailed their tech. support and that's what they told me.
