is this possible, i have seen posts about this about the other phone, the 800, but nothing for 610.... anyone done this ?

I can do it with my t68i and getting t610 shortly but I dont see why you cant do it

I can do it through gprs vodafone connect me software or by wap by putting my pay as you go (Im on btopenworld) isp dail up number user id and password in the data comm tab under connct on the t68i

ahh see im on 2meg cable, i would really like to share that connection (i know it ouldnt be any faster) but i dont just want to set up a dial up networking, as there are no phone lines in this room.

I think that you should still be able to set up a dial up connection to use from your mobile I am on broadband and set up a bt pay as you go account that i only use from my phone

well I use pay as you on the train or in hotel rooms linking laptop and phone through bluetooth laptop uses phone as modem dails up the isp and Im online all you need is a user id a password and the dial up number I dont use a phone line

i think you misunderstood me,

i want to surf from my phone, via my computer so that i dont have to pay for GPRS when im in the house.

i know its not necessary but id quite like to be able to do it anyway.

I can do it with my P800 using Opera browser.. not sure about the T610 though.. im getting mine tomorrow and ill give it a shot..
