I can't make my pop3 email work on my T68i. It worked with my T68. I use exactly the same configuration.
Anyone that has a solution?

Is your Service Provider and Wap provider the same as it was on your T68 ? |

I don't support you're using Yahoo ?
There have been intermittent problems with sending out mails... And now it's been confirmed that Yahoo will be discontinuing POP3/SMTP services after 24 April unless a subscription fee is paid.

It is not Yahoo-mail. It is a regular POP3-account.

Do you use POP3 protocol? With t68i you can choose between Imap4 and Pop3 protocol.
Triplecheck your settings, one typo is lethal. |

You're right...I got a T68i, and I'm from Norway too. I get my GPRS and WAP to work, but not the email... Have you been able to find a solution yet...? |

I have Netcom and an "online" account at Telenor. Found the config. at http://www.opheim.com
I can receive e-mail but not send.(I must send via Wap). I have heard that there is problems with access to the smtp-server at Telenor when connecting via Netcom.
Still -no big problem because the important thing about the e-mail function is the auto-check and that works.
PS! Still got a t68m

I have T68i.
I encountered the same thing, it worked fine on T68m, but not on i-model.
I changed the POP-server name,..and wrote the IP-number instead.
Works fine now

Problems with e-mail setting on T68i.
I write this in norwegian since this is a problem with my T68i and Telenor.
Ikke vet jeg, men det er trolig et problem vedrørende E-post klienten på T68i og telenor. Jeg har selv pratet med Sony Ericsson, og da jeg fikk at test-oppsett av de fungerte det greit. Da jeg satt opp mailoppsettet på min online konto fungerte det ikke. Har selv prøvd det på T68m og der fungerer det helt topp. Har brukt på inngående server både mail.online.no, brukt pop.online.no og har brukt Ip adressen til mail kontoen. Hvis det er noen som får e-post klienten til å fungere på T68i på internett-konto så vennligst gi bekjed om dette.
Har vel selv en mistanke om at vi er omtrent tilbake da T68m kom på banen, og epost klienten ikke fungerte før ny oppgradering kom.

I use IP-numbers in both pop and smtp-server.
The pop-server is my internet-providers pop-address. (ip-number)
The smtp-server is my phone-operators smtp-address (ip-number)

Like i write in last message i got with no problem a test mail from Sony Ericsson Help desk. Since you are from denmark i think for you there is no problem. There is something strange with Telenor internet account. If you are using Telenor mail account let me now if you have make a wap profile only for your e-mail settings? And i that case what IP adress have you used?
What happened with my T68i is as follow:
I start sending/receiving, it finds the server, and receive mail but after a while it pops out and say only said how many bytes it have received. Where the mails are i don't know.

Thats the bug on the i? M works find with pop n smtp, no need for the ip add

I dont know if everybody has to do it this way, but I have to,..it simply will not work with names/adresses only ip-numbers.
It worked with name in pop-server on my T68m, but not in the i-model.
It might have something to do with the fact, that theres also an IMAP4 email-setup in the T68i,..but I dont really know ???

hi there,can someone help me with my e-mail on the phone?
I ask on the ericsson mobile site to send me the e-mail in france and they send me a wanadoo settings,but the problem is that it can't work at all!!
Why can happen this?
I've tried to open a wanadoo e -mail and doesn't work on the pc,i don't know where i can find to use my e- mail with the french sistem.
It is so difficoult,why i can't use a yahoo sistem on the t68i?
I think will be more easy for everybody...
Please could someone explain me how does it work the mobile and why i can find lots of this problems on my phone.
Sorry to be ignorant about this kind of informations but i register my self in this site to learn more and more about my phone.
