Nope. It's ROM as in Read Only Memory. So you can not change anything on Z:

Isn't it actually eeprom (electrically erasable programmable read only memory) and therefore with the right know how you could potentially change the contents. This is what a firmware upgrade does.

Most certainly though, its not something any of us could do.

Well you can flash any ROM with the proper tools and software. So they are eeprom as you say. Just that SE don't sell Emma 2 to non tech people who doesn't have any SE certificates. Or I could be wrong.
