I got my new T610 this morning and guess what......? I got the damn hissing noise quite bad and my screen is flickering!!!!

Not Happy

I know the hissing problem is a known issue, but what about the screen flicker? Is this a fault or a characteristic?

Other than that its a great phone, other than the vodaphone customisation which is tacky to say the least

Sounds like you have a defective display. I have no trouble with the display on my T610, have you tried changing the Contrast??? According to SE they can exchange your phone w/ no hassle what so ever.

I would call them up and make them aware of the situation.

You'd be surprised how often people can see the flicker in LCD's. Often it is simply down to the conditions that you are viewing the phone in. If you have come directly from using another phone then give it a day or two just to check that it isn't you who needs to adjust to the new screen.

You can test this by cranking up the refresh rate of your computer monitor. When I do it on my tft it gives me a massive headache for a few hours until I am used to it.

It could however be that is it indeed faulty in which case simply take it to a service centre and get it replaced.

Regards,

Phil.
