Guys n gals,
I'm getting crap battery life out of this baby. I charged the battery full last night and by midday today I was having to charge the battery again. That's 5 hours AT THE MOST!!! Ridiculous and there MUST be something wrong. I'm running handy day, have the MSD in all the time where some of the programs do run from. I have set the screensaver to come on in 1 minute and the power save (screen off) to come on in 2 minutes. I'm getting the machine to use GPRS pretty much all the time as I'm checking an email account every 30 minutes with it. Apart form that I would say light to medium usage of the phone (maybe half a dozen contact lookups a day and 2-4 appointment entries with something like 6-10 calls a day)

Running R1D at the mo' and will up to F soon. Can anyone offer me any help on making this phone work for me as it's no good running at that sort of battery life. I've noticed it degrade over the last 2-3 days.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Have you checked running apps and killed everything you dont need? I am getting 2 days out of mine before a re-charge the only thing running is Handy-Day, Phone and Applications. Do you leave you'rs connected to GPRS all the time or activate it only when needed?

As an example of my "typical battery life":

- Charged the phone on friday. Was done at 4pm.
- Went on a company weekend outing. During that time (since friday, 4pm) I listened to about 3 hours of MP3s (screen on), played Aramith's quest for an hour, made about 20 minutes of calls, sent 24 SMS and received 47 SMS plus frequent "wke-ups" of the screen to check for new SMS. By monday morning, I was at 8% power.
