My beloved p800 that has worked so flawlessly for 3 months went into a coma last night, and would not wake up. I tried Master Reset several times, and removed the battery but No Joy. The tech support guy didn't even TRY to help, he just gave me a reference number and told me to call the service center.

So at lunch today, I sent my baby off to Minnesota via FedEx. I hope it can be revived, and that I don't have to endure some refurb unit. Maybe on the bright side, they will upgrade my firmware and software, which until now has been a service SE does not provide in the US.

Incidentally, I think maybe I was a victim of my own greed... I signed up for t-mobile's unlimited data plan and it looks like my p800 just could not handle the load.

And in case you're wondering, yes, the title of my message *is* an homage to The Smiths.

You could have tried the "service menu" to format c: and see whether anything works afterwards... has anybody tried "format c:" at all?
