Was: WHY?
why people always look for new things
when they want to change their stuff,
like cars , tv's , anything else , and even changing their
cities, and do it easly..
but when it comes to a mobile section , u find them very hard
and u can't convience them about other brands
i dont mean nokia , SE , or any other , i talk in general..
they sick to one brand , and never change , even if they know
that there r better phone and cheaper...

I'm sure this should be in off-topic, but away we go..
I disagree - whatever I buy I go about it a deliberate and careful way. I do not buy products out of loyalty, though I am loyal to certain products. I am loyal to the N64, as it brought me many many evenings of fun, but I did not buy a gamecube. Instead, I bought an X-box, as I basically grew out of Nintendo, and the open-source nature of the X-box and the xbconnect software really appealed to me.
A few years ago I had a nokida 3210, because those were the days and I didn't have a clue. Then I got a Samsung AGH-300, because they were small and very fashionable. (were) Now I have a T68i, again, because I have matured, wanted more open-source nature to these things and found out about the huge t68i community and all it's downloadable delights, let alone the thrills of BlueTooth.
Now I have reached a similar pinnacle of financing my technology. I'm getting a new phone and a laptop. Laptops are a whole new ball game - that really could go anywhere from Vaio to Alienware. Phones - I love the looks of the T610, but want to get the ability to send video clips to my friends.
Decisions decisions - but rest assured that in my case and the cases of those I can talk to, they are decisions well made.

It's got to do with trust. Let's turn it up side down... Is it at all possible to convince someone who has allways driven Mercedes that VW makes better cars? I don't think so...

I would go for a better deal- better features at affordable cost rather than brand. And its the reason why i use t68i :-D

With personal items like phones or clothes or food, we stick to a brand we have learned to trust but if something VERY impressive comes along it can tempt us away from our normal choice, but it has to be VERY impressive. because our personal items can make or brake our day if they let us down.
Many die hard Nokia users bought the T68 when it came out because it was SO glaringly obvious that Nokia were taking us for a ride & holding back technology, this "Complacency" happens when too many people trust one manufacturer for too long.
I'm going to test this theory by offering my pet tortoise a curry, instead of the normal lettuce & bread soaked in milk. i was going to try a chinese dish but its a little unfair to expect him to use chopsticks

......and WHY some people do not have their own preference on things in life. This is because my friends will buy whatever I have an eye on and this piss me off so much that we will end up using the same phone, shade, shoe etc

Its all to do with trust. You have had a good product by a company before, so why change the product for one of the same but with a different brand? I only stick to Sony Tvs, Mds, Laptops everything like that because I have never in my life had a Sony product that has had any problems or faults within the first 5-10years of owning it. Usually the fault comes about because of my abuse towards it! As with mobile phones I switch between companies as I hate waiting around for stuff so if a new phone comes out before the one I am waitin for thats good, i'll get it (although I am actually going to wait till Dec for the 6600) |

I have changed mobile brands in the past. I started out on Ericsson gone through Motorola back to Ericsson, Nokia, Ericsson, Sagem, SonyEricsson (see a pattern?) to another SonyEricsson! When I choose a phone I go for what I believe to be the best available at the time for what I can afford at that time. I don't particularly quick to any one brand in any respect (although I do keep coming back to Ericsson, now SE) I personally don't get the charm of Nokia or why people always stick with them
