I've just been frauded by a used on eBay by the name of candy_m00n, also has email address of Robert Garcia [candy_man@ownmail.net]

I had a P800 for sale on eBay.
He pursuaded me to buy it now.
We agreed that payment to be via PayPal.
He paid PayPal, I received payment.
I sent phone via Royal Mail Swiftair which is trackable and has to be signed for at destination.

Then PayPal said credit card used may have been used fradulently, and then returned the money to buyer.

So now thanks to PayPal and buyer I am without phone and payment. PayPal also say that I do not qualify for Seller Protection Program either.

Royal Mail will not stop shipment as well.
I'm trying to see if there is a way of Sony Ericsson blacklisting the phone's IMEI number.

Be warned.

Is there possible some kind of warnings to buyers, sellers of persons who scam people. Some sticky on a forum or something.

I just don't want anyone else to have to go through this situation.
I'll know next time to be very wary if I sell again. I'm even doubtful of using eBay and PayPal again.

Sorry to hear that too...

I see you haven't provided any feedback to them yet? are you waiting to see if the situation improves?

I see also that they registered only on the 18th June and have zero rating. I'm pretty sure if you read the ebay and paypal help they try to warn you of circumstances to watch for such as this. I must admit I have a rating on ebay of 106 and I only read all this stuff when I had a rating of about 50 or 60.

The ones that annoy me on ebay are people who see items I bid on and send me offers totally against ebay policy.

Then there are the ones from Indonesia who want to pay over the top, always asking to pay by paypal using credit card, and wanting priority shipping... no way will I even bother replying to any of these!

Hope something positive happens for you on this one.

That's bad news, indeed. I hope ebay can rectify things for you.

Strange thing happened yesterday to end this story.

10 months to the day, the postman called and returned my package saying that it had been refused.
It was my original pacakge that I had sent my SE P800 in to Indonisia.

BUT, When I opened it inside was a boxed brand new SE T105. Very strange.

The only thing I can think happend is either the person that I sent it to felt sorry and sent me the T105, I don't think so.
Or the package was opened before destination, someone else took the P800 and put in the T105 and sent it on. The other person who it was addressed to then got the package thinking it was his P800 and saw it was a T105 and refused it and sent it back

Very strange ending.
