My phone "malfunctions" (dunno what word to use) around once a week or once in two weeks. It would just happen. I couldn't think of any reason for it to do so.

Here's what happens:
1. screen flashes
2. you'll here the sound of the phone when you turn it on.
3. there's a picture of the p800 that would appear
4. then you'd have to press the on/off button for 10 seconds so that you could turn the phone off properly

anyone xperiencing this? it's just irritating. you'd just be surprise while writing a message or checking mail etc. it would just happen

Its a system failure and you need to press the power button for 10 seconds to reboot the phone. Like a Windows BSOD. Happens once in a while. Try uprgrading your firmware.
