i just gota t610. how come when i take a pik, info details says 14kb was used up, but when i erase the pik it says 40 kb?

That's a problem with all T610's and T68's. No one knows why but i heard somewhere on this forum that a new firmware version should fix the memory allocation problem.

This is a well-understood phenomenon that has been well documented on esato before. In short, it is due to the fact that the phones must store an uncompressed version of the image in addition to the compressed version, since the phone does not have time to do the decompression in real time.
