why can't the t300 download any ringtones from cbfmobile that are bigger than 3kb

for that matter why can it open any wap pages bigger than 3kb?

or am i just doing something wrong.

all i get is your client is not allowed to access the requested object

T300 can download mid n mpn files up to 64kb, however it has a limit on jpg n gif files on wap pages. sometimes, however the limit is applicable to your operator and not to the phone

yeah well its weird

cus it wont download large tones from some sites but it will from others

i think its because of the cbfmobile download system. www.cbfmobile.com

btw their tones are free if you can get them

I think it's more to do with either your service provid er or maybe the site itself. UK vodafone allow me to download pictures, sounds, games and other stuff that are much larger than 3kb (just nöt from their live site :-( but an actual wml or html file which is over 3kb just gets me 'The page is too large to send back'

If you encounter the 3K limit, use a different public WAP gateway.

Over the last year or so, a number of people found a limit of 3kb on various UK networks wap gateways, but as complaints rolled in (For example i had regular moans at Orange & o2 about it last year) they found sollutions & provided higher kb routes, so ask your provider to give you the latest IP.
They have no valid reason to limit your download size to 3kb & should be willing to sort it out for you.
