Hi guys, after having the T68m lunar since novem and loving it i have been pissed off a bit by it even though it has been admired a lot by people...

I ordered an 8310e for my wife and it is much better than i had anticipated.

Excellent call quality (equivalent to T68)

Smaller than T68 but also smaller screen

Fantastic lighting e.g keypad n screen looks very good in the dark!

Much faster T9 relative to T68

Amazing radio.

Twin sim battery available

Based on the above, especially the radio that gives me so much hapiness... im thinking of swapping for an 8310 even if i could have MMS! Cos then i will be tempted to buy the MCA20 so i can store photos cos mms is too expensive and not to my interest at the moment.

Do you guys think i am mad?

Btw, i want to buy a twin battery! Anyone know where i can buy 1 from besides carphonewarehouse?

I wouldn't call you mad, but I think that the switch is not appropriate. I believe that anyone at this forum would agree with me that T68 exceeds 8310.

Here are some basic facts:
-------------------------

T68 (big color screen) - 8310 (small b&w screen)

T68 has one of the best lightings among all the mobile-phones, despite its color screen and heavy battery consumption.

If you are annoyed by the slow T9 or the missing of FM radio, I would suggest you to buy the chatboard and the FM-radio handsfree (a radio but also a HF, isn't it fantastic? I own one myself) available for Ericsson phones.

No one will ever admire and be jealous of your 8310 in the way they were jealous and envious about your T68!

It's a simple choice really, when I broke it down for you, eh? =Þ

I had the 8310 before I bought the T68, and sure, the T9 is faster, and its got built in radio. But, I hate the light, its like a toy, way to girlie for a man! Besides, I almost never used the radio, Im almost never in a situation where I need one. Either u are at home, or att work, or in the car, or with friends, when am I going to use the radio!?! But, the most important thing is, that the screen is too small to use in wapping, and it dont remember where u where on the last page viewed, so u have to scroll all the way down when u back...

I have used both 8310 and T68 and currently using T68.
I dont think 8310 can compare to T68, not even close!!
dispite all the T68 fansy features...
ask yourself, are you really wanna walk back to the B&W screen??

Well acually its not fair to compare the 8310 to the T68, because I think they are aimed at different customers... Its so obvious, T68 is a phone for people who needs connectivity, good talktime, mobile internet and so on. The 8310 is more of a flashy phone, i mean theres not so much more in it than a 8210, exept for gprs and radio... The calendar sux too. But, as I said, I dont think they are really comparable!

the 8310 radio sucks... the 5510 radio... now thats nice... stereo and all... and the mp3 player is cool too (plays in the background) but no option to add more memory with mmc... AND you have to carry around a 3330 encapsulated in a brick sized ugly-ass keyboard thingy (yes if you take off the backcover of the 5510 you can actually see the outline of a 3330 inside... did anyone say recycling?:P

The Nokia 8310 or maybe almost all Nokia phones are much more inclined to texting. Comparing both phones, the 8310 is much faster in menu specially in texting and T9. That is the one disadvantage of the T68--texting trouble. It is not as easy as the Nokia.
I came from a Nokia 8310 before i switched to a T68 and i admire more the functionality of the T68 and it's capabilities. Its just the SLOWNESS that's bugging me. But hey i can live with that coz im more on the function and features..
Im also thinking of buying an FM radio handsfree for my T68 (because one primary reason why i bought the 8310 is it's radio capabilities) but i can't find it at stores here
N8310 may be in Mono but it sure have a nice 'Mono' sound i should say...

Most of you 8310 to T68 converters have changed as a result of radio being of insignifiant use. Then the T68 would be better.
