Running latest version of tracker however I have noticed that my battery does not last long. Running Handy Day in 10 hour period no calls the battery reports 87% from full charge, using Tracker it is 75% I have checked and made sure no other software is running. Anyone else notice this? I have tested twice now.

Have you tested both under similar signal reception circumstances? This could make a difference.

Hey Marka2k

First things first get latest firmware, I found battery life to be a bit better, you would expect this as they refine software to enhance battery performance, also makes phone super stable, no more triangle errors.

Secondly condition your battery for better performance, I do this and I don't care what anyone tells me I get a day or so extra life than not doing, simple just let your battery reach 0% before recharging and recharge when phone is off till full again, I know it's a pain but if you do it over night it's okay, or if you have 2 batteries you won't even notice, cause as the one reaches 0% you just pop in a knew one and charge the other one later.

hope this helps, condition your battery once or twice and you'll see the difference.

Yusuf.

Yusufl,

I have conditioned my battery and typically can go two days (depending on how much I talk) before recharge. Depending on which software I use there is a significant difference on how long the battery lasts.

I am planning on going to R2D (latest for USA) soon, it will be interesting to see if this makes a difference or not.

I have found that it helps to turn your phone off/on a few times throughout the day to prolong life a bit. I've come across a few apps that don't have a Close feature, so they're just running all the time - like the camera for instance.

Isn't this what Tracker's close applications facility is for?

Setters,

I use Trackers Running Program's feature to terminate all running Applications except for Phone, Tracker and Applications

Results are the same

tracker really drains battery, ive removed my tracker already.. I, as a student, dont know what its used for, i cant conceive the point why everyone is so hot about it.. I am better off with the application list rather than the tracker's shortcut keys... and about the closing running apps, i'd rather have sman, than the one on tracker... and about tracker 2.0 where its got the today view, i'd rather have active desk... but hey, that's just me....

Here is a reply from Technical Support.

"We've heard about problem with battery and are looking for the
solution. But the main problem is that this bug appears selectively,
not on all the devices. Now we're trying to figure out on what
devices it appears. Could you please tell me the firmware of your
device?"

I am running V.R1D also fowarded the info to technical support so maybe a solution soon?
