mine was an ericsson gh 197 "hotline"
pretty big i guess!! it gave backpain if you
had it in your pocket!! you nearly needed a kontraweight in the other if you shouldnt tip sideways.. hehe |

Didn't anyone have the Motorola "brick", the first "portable" cellhpone?
I did, somewhere around 1988 I think it was. I still have it in storage, and it was funny comaparing it to the T68. I wonder what the next 14 years will bring us. |

Mine was the 5110. I really do miss changing the covers, shame you can't do it on the T68. But at the end of the day the T68 rules! |

We had two of the Motorola 'bricks' where I work when I started in 1993. They were analogue, weighed a ton, and you couldn't get a signal most places outside Cambridge itself!
Still the phone box in the lead, though... |

For you "newbies", the Motorola brick -- the biggest fully portable cellphone
ever (I think).
For size comparison, I would say the T68 come up to maybe a little higher
than the line of buttons
where the red button is !!!
