I got this from SE yesterday:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson.

With regards to your enquiry concerning your T68. There will be software
available which will incorporate features that appear in the T68i,
unfortunately we do not know which parts of the software. We do however know
that there will be software available which will include MMS, but as of yet
we do not have a release date.

So, does this mean that we might not be getting the complete upgrade?

se denmark told me 15 minutes ago that they haven't heard of any features being cut from the t68m version... grr "sony ericsson aims to be the leading communications company within the next 5 years" <- they can shove that line up their rich asses if they cant even communicate from executives<->software deveolpers<->support staff<->press<->consumers...

actually its about time to get dirty... maybe if EVERYONE wrote them 2-3 mails each day asking for an official statement about the upgrade (not just a mail reply from some support guy who dosen't know jack) they would give in....
in any case an official statement would reduce their mailload by at least 50% these days

I doubt they will release a software update identical to the t68i. If they did, who'd buy the t68i. I hope i'm wrong tho.

That's right, the phones are "mirrors" of eachother only with different covers and software... SE today offically killed the myth that the i version would have more memory than the m version...

If SE is logical and wants to keep its customers happy, an upgrade will exist for the t68m. In fact, I know for a fact that a beta version of this software exists and probably in the final days of testing.

Further, logically, the T68i will have some features that the t68m does not have to entice customers to upgrade their phones to the new look and feel.

Epedemic, and the basis of the complaint will be what. Consumer dissatisfaction? There really is not claim. Users purchased the T68 with rumors that it would be updated with the MMS software. I have not heard ericsson say there will not be an upgrade.

Regardless of whether there is or there is not, whoever decides to bring an action will just waste their money. If not satisfied buy a Nokia; if people do that, it will be more effective then filing a useless lawsuit

Just my thought however

lol no way... nokia are even worse... but since the t68m are capable of exactly the same as the t68i (and flashable with the same software) i believe it is illegal for se to withold the upgrade from us (im not saying they will... just speculating )

I just read the article too on MOBIL.NU.

It also said, that you should save all your settings, meaning doing a back-up.

Reason : the flashing will clear e.g. phonebook, shortcuts and so on
