Treo 600 rocks!
PalmOS still has the richer software base than SymbianOS nowadays has. But Symbian will improve over time. (Example: Zoom Font Size to smaller fonts leaves 20% unused waste of space between the lines - hopefully will be better next OS /UIQ release).
When all Top 50 Palm developers (watch the list on e.g. www.palmgear.com) will port their apps to SymbianOS, we'll see the real competition coming up. Then it's the design aspect which rules.
Besides of that, I see the touchscreen advantage of the P800 to the open keyboard of the Treo 600 - less dirt to get in... |

I had (well, still have somewhere) a Palm-based Sony Clie. I bought this after my Psion Series 5's screen died. Anyway, I didn't like the Palm OS/UI/apps very much. Most annoying is the way the contacts list only lets you search for people by last name, unless you haven't entered a last name for someone, then you can search by first name!
Of course, most of the apps have good third-party replacements, but I'm defintely happier with my P800 than I ever was with my Clie. | |
