Hello guys!!
I've been around here for more than 2 months trying to learn with your experiences about the famous P800 before I buy mine...
Today was the big day!!! I just open the box with my brand new P800 inside.
I know that some guys here does not like to help when some people ask the same question several times, but I'll ask something that I could'n find... Here we go...
I installed the P800 suite and for several minutes my phone was connected to my PC. When I open "My P800" to view the files inside my phone I could see the files, but every time that I try to open the files, I lost the connection btwen the phone and the PC. I tried to restart the PC, and the connection go on again, and when I try to open the files, the same thing happens. Someone has experieced the same problem???
Please, could someone try to help me... I was waiting for this moment a long time ago, and now, I'm feeling like a looser...
Thanks in advance!!!!

First try to get the latest drivers for your USB card and then get the PC Suite for P800 release 1.5.1 English (American) Version. Which is the latest. Can be found on www.sonyericsson.com under Support / Synchronization. Try that first.

If you are using windows xp then go to Start - control panel - System - hardware - Device manager - Click onb universal serial bus controllers - right click on for example USB Root Hub - click on update driver - click on install from list or specific location (advanced) - click on don't search I will choose the driver to install - click next - click on have disk and then point to the *.inf file which I think is what you got. And then click on the driver which will be listed... sorry I dont need to update mine so here is where my help ends... its kinda similar on win 98/me/nt/2000/2003(yup even on 2003)/longhorn(yup that one too) Its kinda easy after this step.

Try changing it in BIOS then. That should work.

Lordmike,
My P800 clock going wrong, not the computer one. When you wrote about BIOS you talked about the computer or the P800 ???
Thanks for the inputs

I talked about the computer.
The P800.. hmm you mean that you can't set the clock? Sounds weird.. that is one of the easiest things to do. Or does it just reset itself?

the clock is automatically set from the computer when you synchronize.
if the computer and P800 is configured with different time zones, that might make the clock on the p800 go a couple of hours to fast or too slow. |
