Ericcson has a new version of extended connect PC ou called R3APackage1.

This is more stable then the old R2A04.
The only problem is by installing it you loose the rest if you installed package 4 before (including SMS support in Outlook, Phone settings, Phone book and text manager etc).

There is a workaround to this.

- Download the 2 softwares from the sony ericcson side.
 - Open the 2 different *.exe files with winzip 8.1
 - Extract each file to a seperate directory
 - look for the xcpc_setup directory in both files
 - Replace the xcpc_setup directory of package 4 with the xcpc_setup directory of version 3
 - Make sure the emos.ini file looks like this:
[GENERAL]
Product = Package 4

;Phone products
[PRODUCT]
Package 4 = 1

[Package 4]
Version = "R2A04"
ShortName = Communications Suite
Win95 = YES
Win98 = YES
WinNT4 = YES
Win2000 = YES
WinMe = YES
Irda = YES
IrComm = NO
Serial = YES
BlueTooth = YES
TS_HELP = NO
Outlook2000Ext = YES
PhoneSettings = YES
Anubis = YES
XTNDConnectPC = YES
TroubleShooter = YES
AcrobRead = NO
PB&SMSManager = YES
UserGuide = NO

;Software product
Product = "Ericsson Communications Suite"

 - Execute the setup.exe you will find in the main directory and install the package.

It is a bit of work but it works fine for me on W2K via
The new release seems much more stable.

Have you any workaround for the T68i? I can't seem to get the Phone book and text manager to work with it. They connect the phone, but I can't add contacts or anything else. Most greatful for any help.
