To those who bought their P800 recently from Expansys, USA, what version did your phone came with? Do you have the Euro or US electric plug?

I don't think I am all wrong when I say that most of us are europeans. Maybe thats why none of those 139 people have responded, since they haven't bought it from Expansys because they don't have it where they live or they found a cheaper store.

I bought mine from Expansys US. It had a US plug. How do I check the system version for you?

Hi Sunchild,

This is good news to me! I just ordered mine and it will arrive here in San Jose on Friday.

Were you able to determine what software version it came with?

I bought my P800 from Expansys very recently. Everything was excellent. The phone's OS version was older and needed to be upgraded to version R2D, so I sent it into SonyEricsson and had them do it. Once they received my phone, they upgraded and shipped it off in one day and I received it two days after that (they ship it 2-day air via FedEx, which they pay for).

I'm very happy with the phone.

Hi One on One,

Which SE service center did you send it to? Where are you from?

That is just too bad the latest phones still coming out are still in R1D

the latest firmware is R2F at any SE service point. The battery is more stronger at least 4days stand by!

I had to send it into SE's service center in Minnesota. I wrote them a note about upgrading the firmware to R2F, but it came back R2D. So maybe R2F only pertains to p800's with certain language packs or P800's from certain countries, I'm just not sure. I asked them to upgrade my firmware to the latest version there was, and R2D is what it ended up being.

At least they're fast, and from what I can tell, very competent.

No it didn't. Although I did have to pay to ship the phone to SE. But the service was free because the phone was of course, under warranty. They paid for the shipping back to me.

Hi guys. I've got R1D. Guess I need to send it in. Does the upgrade wipe out all my apps, contacts, etc?

Yes, it will. You'll have to back everything up.
