Ive had my P800 for a week now, and lately ive noticed the battery doesnt seem to last for any longer than a day. I dont use the PDA side of things much, but surely it should last longer than this ?

Also, is there any spreadsheet software available for teh P800 ?

Hi

I had same problem when first brought p800. But now it is fine. My P800 usually last about 3 days before have to charge it again. But b4 had one day that the battey went completely. After its first charge you i still needs to be charge another several times b4 the battery is at its full potential. Some one on this matter said it is to do with the Lith Polymer Battery.

Once battery is fully running u can reduce the battery drain by:-
1) Download Tracker, Switcher or File Manager. These have a task manager that can close applications running in the background. I've got File Manager, very simple app, just like a Win Explorer. Haven't used the others yet.

2) Turn off Bluetooth if it isn't going to be used. Using Bluetooth for Hands free set will drain the battery, i find.

3) Turning the light off, during daytime use can help as well, if u don't mind.

4) The other quick options like Power Save feature, Screen Saver etc..

Hope this helps

For me my battery consumption improved when I:

1. Stoppung keeping it in my pocket : I think I "pressed" on buttons in there by accident (eg sitting down) which lights the screen up.
2. Stored it overnight in a different location : my closet can't get a GSM signal so it used more current trying to find a signal. Now I keep it in the kitchen overnight where GSM is good and strong.

all of the above, plus, the phone needs to be charged more until it gets to its normal state... or maybe u have a faulty battery, u're not wrong, just use it for a while, and check if it improves, coz for me, the first battery was faulty i guess, and they changed the battery, and it seemed like that the second one was faulty too.. lol... so now i think that its a fault with the handset probably, i have no idea, am taking it to the agent for a checkup!!!!!
