Does ANYONE OUT THERE know how to transfer files between your IrDA phone and IrDA-equipped computer?

I have a powerbook running OS X with an IrDA port which detects my T300, but there's no software to do anything with it...

Yes, I've tried google. I've searched sony-ericsson forums everywhere and every time there seems to be a post answering my question, but it turns out to be someone like me asking the same question and getting no answer.

Does anyone know what software (and where to get it) to use to transfer pictures/ringtones between a T300 phone and a Mac USING INFRARED?

For Windows, you just right click on the picture or midi you want to send over, and select "send to infrared". No software is needed. To send from phone to computer.... select "Send over IR", and the item will appear in the appropriate folder on the PC.

Since Mac is supposedly 1000 times more user-friendly, I would imagine it has something similar.

Activate IR on the phone through the menu. Bring the phone's IR close to the IR eye on the computer. Computer will pop up a message saying an IR device is in range. That's it. I can then send picture or business card from phone, or send from PC to phone.

Cool thanks, I found an app that reads the SIM phonebook list, uploads music and pictures, and can send SMS messages through OS X, but I can't download files from the phone :/

SO when you line up the IR and initiate the IR transfer of business cards or pictures(background, etc.) from the phone, nothing happens on your computer?

on a slightly different topic.. is it actually possible to connect to your phone and browse thru it? when i try n set up a connection between puter and t300 (puter as guest tryin to get into t300) i get told connection has been rejected... just wonderin if its actually possible to make a proper connection

@bantor re browsing using your phone
you can configure your phone will act as a modem (GPRS or CSD) for your computer

just search for topics related to using t300 as a modem
