Can you not take an MP3 of your favorite and convert it to wav, then down sample it? If not I can do it for you if you'd like...

i guess i could, but i dont have the software. What do you use? Yeah that would be kewl if you do R.Kelly's "Ignition" and 50 Cent's "In Da Club" as a ringtone. Doesnt have to be the whole song..just enough to hear the beat. Cheers!

I have several apps but mainly use Cool Edit Pro for editing and downsampling... I'll have a look into doing it over the weekend as I just got PlanetSide so most of my spare time is going to be playing that for the next few days

ive got the start of skeelo-i wish and mbeat feat. general levy - incredible as my tones, theyre about 800k each though but sound great.

just used easycd ripper to grab the file off my cds then used Goldwave to cut down the wav to the bits i wanted, use easemp3wavconvertor to get mp3s to wav if you need to.

For people who use Win XP. http://www.phunkyphones.net/polyphonic/polyphonicringtones_order.asp has loads of up to date midis, doesnt allow right click but when you listen to them it opens it up in media player, if you click file "save media as" you can save the tone as a midi file, got 50 cent & ignition on there.

was wondering what is the copyright law on wav tones taken straight from songs. i put a few on my site then thought about it and removed them as surely they are directly violating copyright laws? anyone know the facts? [addsig]

i wondered about the legality too but if you think about it it is probably gonna be a 10 - 20 sec clip of a song and if the company has a problem with that why would they waste their time and also being non - profit is a different thing also cos u aint making money from them and you aint providing a listenable version of the song via pc cos who wants poor quality small clip of a wav file .... although i will take anything off my site if a company was to contact me cos i cant afford to get sued lol just read what i just wrote and it makes little sense hope you understand me lol
