I have been unable to connect to Orange GPRS for 5 days now. I have called them up, all the settings are correct. My phone says GPRS attached but it just wont load any pages or let me get my POP3 e mails.

They said they would get an engineer to look at it but i havent heard from them, anyone got any ideas?

I have had my software upgraded to R2F but GPRS has worked since then.

Hello mate!

Yeah, I havent been able to connect to Orange GPRS now for about a week. It stopped working since I moved back to Oxford from London. All my settings are correct and everything, and the signals fine, it just doesnt work.

I called Orange and they said they had 5 transmitters down in my area, which wont be back up til the end of the month! How crap is that?? I am paying for something I cant use!

I dont think its the phone though, I think its just Orange being rubbish again...

i have the same problem, apparently it also depends on how many gprs users you have in your area. I find if you keep hitting refresh it catched after about 3 attempts!

Crazy considering we have to pay for gprs with gold bullion 'cos its so expensive.

I've re-installed Opera.........I had a few problems but I think this was too many app loaded...Opera seems to need about 1700 kb free.

Still though I cant load any web pages it just says 1kb

Any ideas anyone?

Is it my P800 or Orange?

thanks

Havent been able to use Orange GPRS now for about ten days. I have a call logged with their technical team regarding it but they havent gotten back to me yet. I have tried my sim in another P800 though and it still doesnt work so I know its not my phone, it has to be a network problem.

I have just called Orange as well and told them that I am pissed off because I havent been able to use my GPRS in nearly two weeks but I that I am still paying for it, and they have agreed to credit my account back with the money for the unused days of GPRS. I would suggest you guys do the same.

Maybe if enough of us start getting refunds on our GPRS and they start losing money, they might shift their arses into doing something about the problem!

thanks for the info

I rang Orange wireless support today (Sat AM) & they admit there is a problem.

They have credited my account with £5.00 for my inconvienience

I'm still unable to connect to the internet, get e-mail or update the weather on Worldmate on my trusty P800

I was just thinking the other day how trouble free my P800 & Orange had been !

I hope they (Orange) fix the problem sooner rather than later

The only problem with GPRS is it's reliability.

Orange have 6 GPRS nodes which cover the entire country.

If one goes down or has performance problems then it can affect millions of customers.

There are supposed to have been some problems with GPRS recently.
