right, trying to figure out bluetooth is starting to hurt my head now ! all i want to do is transfer pics, tones, games etc to and from my T610. so i have some questions you may be able to help me with:

1) are all bluetooth dongles the same ? i.e. is this one (its cheap!) - http://shop.talboom.org/ - any good ?

2) what software (if any ??!) will i need to transfer pics, tones, and games to AND from my T610 ?

please be gentle, i haven't got a clue on such matters, so all help will be greately appreciated, cheers.

Stick to something that has a support website where you can download drivers, like TDK, Tecom, Anycom,... (Mitsumi kind of sucks since their posted update doesn't work on the model I have)

The software should be part of the package, and here's why you want some brand name with a website where you can download the latest.

There will be lots of updates, and it's getting harder to hack one driver to work with a different brand of dongle.

1) Are all of them the same? No.

2) Software you need? Depends on what goes with your adapter. You might need FMA or sendfile (plus MPM).

Hello, I have a Mitsumi WIF 0402C USB Adapter. I'm currently using a T610. Although both devices can detect each other, I am unable to synchronise the 2 devices on my laptop. The syncronisating software should be ok because I can sync using the IR port.

Has anybody tried this before and it works? or am I missing some important downloads to make trhis happen. Thanks.

I have a Tecom BT3030 USB dongle. You know, there is a serial number problem after 30 days on 1.2.2.4 drivers... So I went to their site to download the new drivers and to my luck they weren't their!!! Then I wrote my problem to Tecom and waited for an answer more than a week, which made me angry and made me write a scurrilous* letter. I then got an answer which told me to enter the ftp site on the support page and download a zip file. I did so but the new drivers don't work (can't find the driver when it says "New USB device found"). I have also written another letter about it but it has been a month now and I still haven't got an answer...

*= Didn't know the exact word, so translated from LangtoLang.com! It might be wrong... But the letter I wrote was a REALLY REALLY BAD one... I was never that angry before... (Well, maybe I was... )

Theres class 1 dongles with a range of 100M and class 2 with a range from 1 - 30 M, tecom are the same as belkin so go there for drivers tecom have no support very bad of them, Also something to watch out for is some drivers like MSI for instance have problems with some ASUS motherboards. MSI and belkin are good makes
