I have installed all necessary software that I was previously using on Windows ME that worked fine. However now since using XP when I start Send file version 2.0.6, under phone information it seems to detect my phone which is a Sony ericsson T306 with no problem however after choosing my file and hitting the send button it reads connection failed. If their is someone out their that is using send file on windows xp with their T306 let me know what I need to do. Thanks

what connection? data cable. Once I start send file and plug my phone into the cable, MyT306 will appear under Phone information so I know it detects the phone, however it will say failed to connect after attempting to send a file to the phone.

The T300 series have this nasty habbit of not accepting anything unless you set the PC com port speed to 9600.

thanks everybody for you suggestions, however when I checked the com port like ESTOR suggested it was already set at 9600. Has anybody else ever had this problem with windows XP or is their any other software similar to send file that I could try?

OH I have another sendfile problem: i changed from dial up to broadband and now my send file is acting up BIG time, it detects my phone but I have that same 'Failed to connect' notice everytime.

BUT: i tried My Pictures and I get a connection error. Finally tried MMS Composer and I get a connection error.

So I believe that somehow the Mobile Phone Monitor does not work properly anymore.

I know that it used to connect to the dial up modem for some sort of self test, which of course it can no longer do.

My question to you guys: WHAT exactly do I need to change in MPM and HOW to get everything working again?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys! Vlam

un-install and re-install MPM, and "enable" the port corresponding to the cable.

Still no luck. I'm now off to uninstall all of it. Noticed christersson.org is 'forbidden'????? I will try my luck with the newer software then. I'll let you know.
